Plan Your Trip
SacRT offers three convenient ways to plan your trip:
Phone
Call 916-321-BUSS (2877) during weekdays from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and weekends from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
In Person
Visit the Customer Service and Sales Center at 1225 R Street (adjacent to the 13th Street Station).
Weekdays: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Closed weekends and most holidays
Note: Printed timetables are available at SacRT’s Customer Service and Sales Center.

Steps for a Smooth Ride
Purchase and validate your ticket or pass.
Stand behind the yellow line for safety.
Verify the train's destination.
Board, press the button to open the door, and exit at your stop.
How to Ride the Bus
Steps for a Smooth Ride
Find your stop and be ready with exact change or fare card.
Board, pay, and show your pass.
Ring the bell one block before your stop.
Exit through the back doors.
Other Transit Services
Attention Light Rail Riders
Please take a seat or secure a standing position before the train departs. For your safety, SacRT asks riders to quickly find their seat or secure a standing position before a light rail train departs. Operators will make announcements for riders inside of the train prior to the train pulling away from the station.
In an effort to ensure that priority seating is available for persons with disabilities traveling on the bus and train, and for the safety of passengers and young children, riders are prohibited to board with an open utility cart or stroller. Prior to boarding, utility carts and strollers must be folded, and once onboard, they must be stored out of the aisle so that they do not block areas reserved for persons using mobility devices such as wheelchairs, or pose a tripping hazard for others.

Fares
SacRT offers a range of fare options to suit different needs. Plan ahead and purchase your tickets and passes in advance using SacRT’s mobile app, ZipPass, the App Store, or Google Play.
Discount fares are available for seniors (62+), Medicare cardholders, and persons with disabilities.
Many students, in grades TK through 12, are eligible for free transit passes. Check with your school district for details or
Convenient Payment Options
1. Connect Card
Enjoy the convenience of a smart card for secure, easy access across buses and light rail. The Connect Card can be loaded with tickets and passes online or at participating outlets.

2. ZipPass
Download SacRT’s free mobile fare app to set up a secure account, purchase, save, and activate tickets and passes from your smartphone. The ZipPass app allows for easy fare management and quick boarding.
3. Cash Fare
Exact change is required when paying cash fare on buses and light rail vending machines. Operators do not provide change, and vending machines don’t accept bills larger than $20.
4. Credit Card
Most SacRT vending machines accept credit cards, allowing for easy and convenient purchase of tickets and passes.
5. Contactless Fare Payment
SacRT light rail riders can tap to ride using contactless payment methods like credit/debit cards, smartwatches, or mobile wallets. This touch-free payment system offers a quick and secure boarding process. Learn more at SacRT Contactless.

How To: Bike-and-Ride on SacRT Bus, Light Rail
SacRT facilitates biking and riding with clear procedures, embodying its commitment to accessible transit.
Passengers prepare bikes, inform bus operators, and secure bikes on racks. Unloading involves informing operators and folding racks.
When boarding light rail with your bike, please allow other passengers to exit or board first, and use available space. The front of the first light rail car is reserved for seniors and passengers with disabilities. SacRT’s last train in service allows unlimited bikes.
Overall, SacRT promotes seamless integration of biking with public transit, emphasizing ease and convenience.
Park-and-Ride Stations
SacRT has 22 free park-and-ride lots with a total of 10,000 parking spaces.
The Cosumnes River College Parking Lot is $2 per day or $20 per month.
