The Dos Rios Station will be part of the Blue Line. In December 2018, the project, along with an associated affordable housing development, received a $23 million Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) Grant from the California Strategic Growth Council. The TCC Program supports projects that deliver major environmental, health, and economic benefits in disadvantaged communities, and the Dos Rios Station aligns with these goals. The SacRT Board of Directors approved funding for this new station on January 8, 2024.
In total, the future Dos Rios Station project has secured $42.8 million in funding from state and federal sources. This includes $31.2 million in state funding from programs such as the Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) Program ($17.6 million), the Affordable Housing Sustainable Communities (AHSC) Program ($940,000), Senate Bill 125 (SB125) funds ($10 million), and the Transit and Intercity Rail Capital Program (TIRCP) ($2.5 million). Additionally, $11.6 million in federal funding has been secured, including $9.6 million from the Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) grant, $1 million from the FY24 THUD Appropriations Bill through Congressional Directed Spending, and $1,200,313 from other local and federal sources.
