Loading Your Bike
1: Pre-Load Preparation
Remove all loose items from your bike, such as water bottles and pumps, before the bus arrives to prevent any items from falling during transit.
2: Notify The Operator
Before loading, catch the bus operator’s attention to acknowledge your action. Always load from the curb side to avoid traffic hazards.
3: Lower The Rack
Use one hand to pull the handle and lower the bike rack until it clicks into place. Steady your bike with your other hand.
4: Secure Your Bike
Lift your bike onto the rack, placing the wheels in the designated slots, marked for the front wheel. If available, use the slot closest to the bus.
5: Lock The Wheel
Swing the wheel lock up and over the front wheel, ensuring your bike is secure.
6: Board and Monitor
Hop on the bus, find a seat near the front, and keep an eye on your bike. Don’t forget to unload it when you reach your stop.
Removing Your Bike
Quickly and safely remove your bike and be on your way.
1: Signal To Unload
As you near your stop, notify the bus operator that you’ll be unloading your bike. Exit via the front door, ensuring the operator is aware of your move.
2: Unlock The Wheel
At your stop, swing the wheel lock away from the front wheel. This can be done from either side when the bus is kneeling.
3: Remove Your Bike Safely
From the curb or the front of the bus, not from the traffic side, take your bike off the rack.
4: Lifting Off
Carefully lift your bike clear of the rack, ready to go.
5: Rack Retraction
If yours is the last bike, please fold the bike rack back into its secured position.
